Fleets switch to Electric - Guide on EV Charging Solutions.

Key Selling Points - Government & Municipals

Information to know:

  • L2 and DCFC Opportunities

  • The two main applications for these segments are typically for fleet transitions to EV and offering public charging for the community.

  • These opportunities are typically put out to bid with set requirements informed by a previous RFI, previous contract, or by a grant program they have applied for.

  • One thing to be aware of regarding public charging opportunities is that many times, cities may look for a 'host site' model. This model would request bidders to own and operate the charging stations, with the city merely supplying the site. As the partner, do you or anyone you know have an interest in owning and operating these sites?

ZEF Features

  1. Versatility
ZEF Energy can accommodate the 'host site' model by offering DCFC and Level 2 charging options. All these options would be connected to our ZEFNET software, allowing the particular government or municipality to manage them through one program.

  2. Charging-as-a-Service
Charging-as-a-Service is attractive for public charging infrastructure to manage cashflow as EV adoption and usage rates grow.

For governmental fleet usage, see the “Fleet” section for ZEF’s capabilities.
